Fish & Chips

On Saturday was Fish&Chips day at my home :) so today I finally uploaded the pictures and I am going to present you my version of this delicious and often underestimated fastfood meal :) As I am not a huge fan of chips, I prepared this time these fantastic new potatoes (recipe is here: http://fait-a-la-maison.blogspot.ch/2014/09/new-potatoes-with-champignons.html only without champignons) as a side dish. Oh, and I forgot to mention my special touch - there is beer in the dough :)

Ingredients

  • 300g white fish (I used codfish)
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 spoons of flour
  • 1.5 dcl of beer
  • fresh persil
  • salt and white pepper
  • oil
  • tartare sauce

Directions

As mentioned already above, pototaes recipe you can find elsewhere and here is only the fish recipe. Cut your fish to smaller pieces as you like and season them with salt and white pepper. In a bowl, mix together eggs, flour, beer, chopped persil and salt till the dough reaches nice structure. If needed at either flour or beer to reach the wished texture. Heat up the oil in a frying pan to maximum and after dipping the fish pieces in the dough, fry them from all sides. Serve with potatoes and tartare sauce. Recipe for homemade tartare sauce comes later! :)
