Flammenkuchen

Flammenkuchen or if you want Alsace-pizza is one of my most favourite meals. We cook it very often for dinner because it is quick, easy, and most of all very tasty :) Well, if you love bacon and cheese, you need to try this recipe :)





Ingredients


  • ready-made Flammenkuchen pastry or pizza-pastry 
  • 250ml Creme Fraiche
  • 150g bacon (cut into small pieces/cubes)
  • 1 onion
  • parmesan
  • 100g cheese (for example camembert, goat cheese... )
  • salt and pepper

Directions

In the first place, I am going to be honest with you, I have never prepared the pastry for flammenkuchen myself. At least here in Switzerland, you can buy fresh ready-made pastry and it is quite comfortable. So I am alwayas using the pastry from Coop. Afterwards, it is truly simple. Spread the creme fraiche on the dough, add chopped onions, bacon, pieces of cheese and cover it with parmesan. Add salt and pepper and bake it in the oven for about 10-15 min at 220°C.
